INSTRUCTIONS:
1. download galin_UPGRADE_MIO_DDMMMYY.zip and winceimg.zip
2. unzip those archives
3. copy on SDCard the content from galin_UPGRADE_MIO_DDMMMYY.zipSDCard
4. (with GPS disconnected from PC) Hardware RESET
5. (after you power up the GPS) insert SDCard
6. After application starts (you'll see an application with two buttons) press SuperUser button
7. press Yes every time you are asked (if you want to unlock UBOOT)
8. after you have the confirmation of the unlock Do a hardware RESET
9. (if you have the SDCard in GPS ... and you should have it ...) when you start the GPS you'll find a blue screen (this time its a good thing) and you have to navigate to 'wince upgrade'
For navigation instructions please read " SDCarddocumentsMenu.txt "
BTW: If your menu is different; when you enter into blue screen please write down all those menus into a text file to have that information later on ...
10. Using Power button go to 'wince upgrade' and inside that go to:
- 'wince by USB' if you want to keep the My Flash Disk
- 'wince by USB (Format)' if you want to format also My Flash Disk
NOTE: If you had any problems with your My Flash Disk previously ... any type of problems ... is recommended to use the version that will format My Flash Disk (but make sure you have the recovery CD ... :) )
For menu detailes please read " SDCarddocumentsMenu.txt "
BTW: Write down also those menus if are different from the ones from Menu.txt :)
11. connect GPS to PC (using an USB cable)
12. a new hardware will be found ... you should choose " Advanced ... " and point the PC to install driver from folder galin_UPGRADE_MIO_DDMMMYY.zipPCSEC_SOC_driver (alternatively if complains that " there is no compatible driver " you can try also galin_UPGRADE_MIO_DDMMMYY.zipPCSEC_SOC_driver_other)
13. After install you should see on display that GPS received an USB address .. or something like that ...
If it didn't received an address there are two possible problems:
- You where to slow (that menu has a time out) - & gt; Disconnect your GPS from USB and go to step 4.
- Your USB is not 100% compatible - & gt; Use a USB hub (try 1.1 first and 2.0 after)
14. start DNW.exe from galin_UPGRADE_MIO_DDMMMYY.zipPCDNW
15. Check if on the form blue upper side there is written " USB : OK " ... that will show you that DNW is connected to GPS
16. Go to menu USB Transmit Transmit Transmit ... select winceimg.bin extracted from winceimg.zip (downloaded previously)
17. WAIT ... the procedure will last about 1 min. check the GPS screen and after you see restart wait for another minute (to be sure that upgrade finished).
18. Press the Power button more than 12 sec. (to perform a hardware RESET - but don't power up ...)
19. Remove SDCard from GPS
20. Disconnect USB cable from PC
21. Power up device (press more than 12 sec. power button)
22. Now you should see a window that ask you to connect the GPS to PC. Insert the recovery CD and perform the GPS recovery.
23. (after you power up the GPS) insert SDCard
24. After application starts press NormalUser button

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. download galin_UPGRADE_MIO_DDMMMYY.zip and winceimg.zip
2. unzip those archives
3. to enter into the blue screen on the C310, C510 and C710, you must do the following.
- Set the ON/OFF-switch to OFF. (located at the right bottom.
- While pushing the sound-minus-button and the screen-on-off-button at the right site of the device, set the ON/OFF-switch to ON.
- Keep pushing the other 2 buttons until you get the blue screen.
- to scroll over the items in the blue screen, push the sound-plus-button.
- to select an item, push the sound-min-button.
